What is Traditional Astrology? (keynote lecture)

The western tradition in astrology: what it is; what it is not; and why it is so important to know the difference between the two.

Yes, horary is a marvellous predictive tool. But analysis of a situation is often more useful than prediction. John shows how the understanding of receptions provides detailed psychological insight into even the most tangled of human dramas.

Mercury and the Moon (double lecture)

So often neglected or trivialised, the Moon and Mercury play a crucial role in traditional natal judgment. Their interplay provides a large part of our psychological analysis. This fun, interactive lecture shows how much clear, detailed information can be found from them, and how quick and simple it is to find it.

Natal Astrology - the traditional approach (double lecture)

A builder starts with the foundations and works up to the roof.  So does the traditional astrologer. With each step providing the context within which the next makes sense, this structured approach makes natal judgment both simple and astonishingly accurate. In these two lectures Bernhard will demonstrate the detailed delineation of a natal chart, first reading character and then predicting the key events in the life.

Traditional Medical Astrology: how to restore and maintain health (double lecture)

The traditional model sees illness as an imbalance in the four elements that make up our nature. The techniques of medical horary allow us to identify these imbalances and restore equilibrium and therefore health using time-honoured ways of healing, such as diet, herbs, and precious stones. After the balance is restored, the natal chart provides hints and warnings on what to do and what to avoid so as not create major problems again. In these lectures Bernhard will show how to judge a medical horary and how read the hints within the natal chart.
